When Oscar Robertson was traded from the Cincinnati Royals to the Milwaukee Bucks before the 1970-71 season he was finally able to accomplish the last remaining goal of his illustrious career — a World Championship. The Bucks acquisition of Robertson to go with a young Lew Alcindor proved to be the perfect pairing for the team to win the NBA’s ultimate prize. This practice jersey was worn by Robertson during his tenure with Milwaukee and used during many practices.

The simple but stately dark green sleeveless shirt has “BUCKS” across the front in block letters. Reversible in white on the inside the jersey a lot of wear and has been boldly signed by the Hall of Famer just below the team name in black marker. Local manufacturer’s tagging The General” (Greenville OH) on the inner tail indicates size XL and 100% cotton material. This is certainly among the more intimate basketball worn items from The Big O having endured countless hours of hardcore training during the twilight of his remarkable career. Includes LOA from Oscar Robertson.

PLEASE NOTE: Oscar will donate a portion of his auction proceeds to the Jerome Lipper Multiple Myeloma Center and LeBow Institute for Myeloma Therapeutics at Dana Farber. This renowned cancer treatment center “provides comprehensive care to patients with multiple myeloma including promising new therapies through clinical trials rooted in an approach that brings laboratory discoveries quickly to the clinical setting (https://www.dana-farber.org/multiple-myeloma-program).
