When Oscar Robertson was traded to the Milwaukee Bucks prior to the 1970-71 season the prospect of the Cincinnati Royals carrying on without the man who had become the face of their franchise for more than a decade seemed daunting indeed. For the Milwaukee Bucks the idea of adding someone of Robertson's stature - even now in the later stages of his HOF career - carried with it the possibility of great promise. Joining a club with names like Lew Alcindor and Bob Dandridge the Bucks would suddenly emerge as a great NBA power a new stature that ended with the Bucks logging a league-best 66-16 record and then roaring through the NBA Playoffs for the NBA title. These trunks date to those early years of Bucks success; this pair shows excellent game use and is virtually problem free save only for slight separation of stitching on some of the trim and some loss on the Buck logo embroidery on the front left leg and the removal of the waist tag on the back.
