Offered in this lot is a rare full proof ticket from the historic World Heavyweight Championship boxing match between undefeated champion George Foreman and former champion Muhammad Ali on October 30, 1974. The famous fight held in Kinshasa, Zaire, known as the "Rumble in the Jungle" began at 4:00 AM local so that American pay-per-view audiences could watch at a reasonable hour. In an upset, Ali knocked out Foreman in the 8th round.
The colorful green and yellow ticket has text in French with a September 25 date as that was when the fight was originally supposed to take place. Currently, only 11 of these full proofs exist in the PSA population report, with only one graded higher (EX-MT 6) than this EX 5. Each side has been punched "void" over the "Admit One" text. The rest of the ticket remains sharp and problem-free.
