Ali and Frazier will forever be remembered as one of the greatest rivalries in boxing history. They faced each other three times, with the hard-nosed, blue-collar "Smokin" Joe Frazier winning the decision in their first fight at Madison Square Garden on March 8th, 1971. The flamboyant Ali prevailed in the following two fights with a 12-round decision in the second bout and a knockout in the famous “Thrilla in Manila”, their third and final meeting on October 1, 1975. In the 14th round, Frazier's trainer threw in the towel to prevent the nearly blind Frazier from taking an even worse beating.

Offered here an extremely rare press ticket stub from that legendary fight encapsulated and graded FR 1.5 by PSA. Few examples of any sort of tickets from this bout have ever surfaced at auction, and this is a pop of one in PSA's population report. The green ticket has a significant vertical crease on the right side, but the rest of the obverse retains strong colors and bold print details. "A Thrilla in Manilla" is prefectly legible at the top. The reverse shows some attached paper from being affixed (presumably by glue) to an album or backing of some kind. A truly one-of-a-kind piece of sports history!
