The NFL celebrated its 75th Anniversary in 1994. To commemorate the anniversary the NFL had 7500 coins produced of each of the 28 teams with the team name and helmet.It also included the "inaugural season and date" stamped on gold on each coin. All of the coins in this item are number 0006/7500. The low number would indicate the importance of the contributions to the league made by longtime NFL executive Jim Steeg. The wood plaque measures 14" high 22" wide and 3/4" thick and weighs a hefty 8.8 lbs. In addition to the team coins there is a commemorative Super Bowl XXIX played at Joe Robbie Stadium on January 29 1995 where the San Francisco 49'ers defeated the San Diego Chargers 49 to 26. In the center of the piece is a 4"x6" 75 anniversary logo gold plated metal plaque mounted on leather football material and the years 1920 to 1994 burned into the leather. A very rare piece for the avid NFL fan.
