To mark professional baseball's 100th anniversary in 1969, the U.S. postal service issued a special commemorative 6-cent stamp to mark the occasion. This group of 13 First Day Covers include 11 of the 100th anniversary stamps postmarked Cincinnati, Ohio and have been signed by 11 different Yankees players. Hall of famer autographs include Whitey Ford, Joe Sewell, Johnny Mize, Earle Combs, Bucky Harris, Lefty Gomez, Joe McCarthy and Yogi Berra. Other notables include, Don Larsen. Two of the First Day Covers are differentiated by their later postmarks. One is dual-signed by Don Mattingly and Mickey Mantle and is stamped by a 20 cent "Roberto Clemente" stamp and postmarked New York, NY, SEP 30, 1984. The other is signed by Reggie Jackson and includes a USA flag 15 cent stamp and is postmarked, Bronx, NY, AUG 11, 1980. All autographs have been pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
