Nate Campbell III aka The Galaxxy Warrior is a former unified World Boxing Association (WBA) World Boxing Organization (WBO) and International Boxing Federation (IBF) Lightweight World Champion. In a 14-year professional career he compiled a 37-11-1 record with 26 knockouts. Campbell was a late bloomer beginning his amateur career at age 24 and his pro career at 28. He won his first 23 professional fights. Without question Campbells greatest triumph took place on March 8 2008 when he defeated Juan Baby Bull D’az in a hard-fought 12-round split decision. Fittingly the fight took place at the Plaza de Toros bullring in Cancun Mexico. Featured here is Campbells gorgeous WBA Championship boxing belt that he won from D’az in that notable fight. It comes from Campbells personal collection.

At age 36 Campbell entered the ring as a 4-1 underdog. The 24-year-old D’az came in with a 33-1 record and held the WBA WBO and IBF Lightweight title belts. Both came out swinging in Round 1 with the Mexican crowd cheering loudly for D’azborn in Texas to Mexican immigrant parents. Campbell was losing early on but in Round 6 he opened a nasty cut on Diaz's left eye. Referee Jesus Salcedo called it a head butt and deducted a point from Campbell. However replays clearly showed that the cut was caused by a quick left strike from The Galaxxy Warrior. By Round 11 D’azs eye was almost completely shut. Campbell ended up getting the decision to become the WBA/WBO/IBF unified champ and take all three belts from his opponent. He retired initially in 2010 before staging a comeback that extended his career another four years. He officially called it quits in 2014 defeating Gilbert Venegas in his final bout.

This beautiful WBA Championship belt measures 48 long and weighs 7 lbs. The black genuine leather strap has an attractive burgundy trim with three gold-painted metal sculpture plates. A large 8-inch WBA-branded centerpiece plate is flanked by two smaller 4-inch gold-mirrored plates. The large centerpiece sculpture features a burgundy crown at the top lined with faux red gemstones (only one is missing). Underneath the crown are two boxing gloves with a WBA enameled badge at center that reads "WORLD BOXING ASSOCIATION CHAMPION." A separate WBA enameled badge appears on the end of the left strap. The two smaller flanked plates feature a repeat of the faux gemstone-lined crown on the large buckle. The left plate is inscribed NATE CAMPBELL THE GALAXY WARRIOR and the right reads LIGHTWEIGHT WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP MARCH 9 2008. Campbell had this belt personalized after the fight. The back of the belt features a nice black velvet interior lining and Velcro fixture on the straps. The belt has been remarkably well-preserved with no visible tarnishing to the metal or markings of any kind. It presents in Mint condition.

Includes Letter of Authenticity from Nate Campbell.
