Salvino, Inc. was formed in 1989 and initially produced hand-signed baseball figurines as part of what was called the Salvino Collection. The company later expanded to include other sports such as basketball, football, hockey and boxing. Unlike other modern-era figurine attempts, Salvinos were very well-received among collectors (like vintage Hartlands) for their likeness, high quality and creativity, depicting sports legends of yesteryear and current stars in dignified poses. The autograph has been certified by Beckett Authentication Services.
This Muhammad Ali “The Greatest” example is from the special “Black Trunks” limited edition series of 400 (not the mass-produced “White Trunks” run of 3,500) and presents in near-perfect condition. The porcelain statue of the GOAT throwing one of his patented straight right power punches in black Everlast trunks stands 9” tall on rounded base. Ali has signed in bold 9-10/10 black marker on the base’s white placard.
The underside has the official Salvino Sports Legends, Inc. metallic certification placard with 1990 copyright details. Includes printed COA from Salvino and comes in the company’s original cardboard box. Autograph also certified by Beckett.
