Joe Frazier and Muhammad Ali met for the second time at Madison Square Garden on January 28 1974 each seeking a victory to set up a title bout against champion George Foreman. There was also the revenge factor for Ali who had suffered his first professional loss to Frazier in their first ring encounter in 1971—a historic match that yielded what many consider to be one of the most controversial decisions in boxing history. This relatively scarce Ali-Frazier II official on-site poster measures 23" by 30" and pictures the legendary pair with their dukes up. Both fighters have autographed the piece with Ali’s signature in 9/10 bold black sharpie and Frazier is equally vibrant silver marker. The sturdy cardboard piece presents well overall with radiant graphics and a few light spots of toning. Ali pounded out a solid albeit close 12-round decision. The pugilist poet later recaptured the Heavyweight Championship by defeating Foreman in Kinshasa Zaire. Poster is mounted to foam board and matted with overall dimensions of 27" by 34". Not easy to find this poster signed by one fighter let alone both.
