Very comprehensive autograph collection is featured in this lot with nearly 200 genuine signatures (we counted 193) all nicely preserved within a small 6.25" by 4.75" notebook bound with a brown leather album cover entitled "AUTOGRAPHS." The vast majority were signed in 1938 based on the collector's "June 23-1938" notation at the beginning and the groupings of players by team who were likely teammates when they signed. Over 25 signatures from members of the 1954 World Champion New York Giants are also included. A total of 17 Hall of Famers are represented in this lot: Lou Gehrig Jimmie Foxx Bobby Doerr Joe DiMaggio Red Ruffing Bill Dickey Bob Feller (2) Earl Averill Ted Lyons Al Simmons Goose Goslin Bucky Harris (2) Rick Ferrell Willie Mays (March 1955) Monte Irvin Hank Aaron (1974) and Rollie Fingers (cut). The layout (mostly in page order) of who we can identify is as follows:

11 from 1938 Boston Red Sox (notated "June 23-1938") incl. Foxx (8.5/10) Doerr Moe Berg Pinky Higgins Doc Cramer C. Wagner Vosmik L. Rogers Marcum Gaffke and Peacock in mostly black ink averaging 8/10.

17 autos. from '38 NY Yankees incl. Gehrig (7/10) Dickey Joe DiMaggio (7.5/10) Ruffing Spud Chandler Frank Crosetti (2) Monte Pearson Bump Hadley Ivy Andrews Myril Hoag Arndt Jorgens Geo. Selkirk Sundra Knickerbocker and J. Powell. Wally Schang on different page. All in blue ink (slightly smeared) averaging 7/10

Hank Aaron autograph (7/10 black ink) is on same page as Gehrig on left side with "1974" notated presumably for year he signed.

32 from '38 Cleveland Indians incl. Feller (2) Averill Hudlin Johnny Allen J. Humphries (2) Hemsley (2) Kroner (2) Lyn Lary (2) O. Hale (2) Keltner Pytlak J. These are split up on multiple pages (in front and back of album) in 8-9/10 blue. Averill Hudlin and Allen signatures on the early grouping are good; the same three on a later page did not pass.
