Great trio of game-worn shoes from three important players who helped take the Chicago Bulls from mediocre to good to legendary. Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen needed an interior enforcer like Charles Oakley a consistent post presence like Horace Grant and a knockdown shooter like John Paxson to build their 1990's dynasty. Oakley entered the league in 1985-86 one year after Jordan and the two became best friends on and off the court. He never backed down from a scuffle and protected MJ from the rugged tactics of the "Bad Boys" in Detroit. The 6'7" power forward averaged a double-double in his three seasons with the Bulls before joining the Knicks in 1988-89. His white and red New Balance '593' high-tops come in size 15 and show excellent wear. Oakley has signed the right shoe in a 5-6/10 black pen. Horace Grant was drafted by the Bulls in 1987 and served as Oakley's backup for a season before taking over as the team's starting power forward in 1988-89 where he held it down for six seasons and three NBA titles. The 6'10" big man wore the featured white and red Pony high-tops in size 16 during his early Bulls years and they show solid game. The left shoe is signed by Grant in 4-5/10 faded black pen. Finally we have sharpshooter John Paxson who came over from the Celtics before the 1985-86 season and was a fixture on the perimeter when the Bulls needed a clutch jumper. The 6'2" guard wore the offered white Spalding mid-cut shoes in size 11.5 and signed each one in bright 8/10 blue marker. The insoles have been removed and they show the heaviest wear and aging of the three. All pairs come with their original shoelaces and present in problem-free condition.
