From the personal collection of former NFL star quarterback Roman Gabriel III comes this nice paring of Michael Jordan golf items. Gabriel and his wife are from Wilmington NC where Jordan grew up. First we have Jordan's mid-1980's match-used Pebble Beach-branded golf glove manufactured by Kasco and made of genuine Cabretta leather. Designed to wear on the left hand for a right-handed player like Jordan it comes in size XXL with the official Pebble Beach logo over the Velcro strap. It exhibits solid wear throughout and according to the letter of provenance was given by MJ directly to Gabriel's wife.
The accompanying scorecard from "The Cape Golf & Racquet Club" in Wilmington NC has a copyright date of "October 1986" and is filled out in pencil. One of the foursome is "MIKE" and it appears he bested the group on the back nine with a 43. Looks like they skipped holes 7-9. An early Michael Jordan pencil 8-9/10 autograph (he would have been around 23 years old in his 2nd season with the Chicago Bulls) is found above the referenced "Mike". Very tough to find such a young MJ signature in the hobby.
Includes two LOA's signed by Roman Gabriel III one for each item. Full LOA from JSA for Jordan's autograph which is also pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
