Presented here is a flashy full uniform from the Ararat Shrine All-Star Game worn by 1956 Olympic gold medalist Dick Boushka a forward who played collegiately at St. Louis University. The Ararat Shrine All-Star Game was one of a number of important venues in the 1950's and 1960's that showcased the talents of the country's top college players. The jersey is a red knit with "Ararat Shrine All-Star in gold tackle twill and green embroidery the same scheme used for the seven stars front and back - except reversed green twill and yellow embroidery - and Boushka's No. 24A from and back. The shirt has gold and green knit trim on the yokes and collar a Lowe & Campbell Athletic Goods label appears at the back of the collar with typed cloth flag tags with Boushka's name and "44X2." His name is misspelled on the shirt tag and also on the Lowe & Campbell tag on the accompanying shorts. The red satin shorts are as imposing as the jersey with gold satin waistband and buckle "East" and the Shriner's logo on right and left legs respectively in gold satin and green embroidery. Shorts edges and sides have pinstriping in gold piping and green elastic. Shirt and shorts show game use and are in essentially as-issued and problem-free condition with minimal fraying of any of the delicate stitching and the barest bit of puckering on the twill elements front and back.
