The late great Mickey Mantle the much celebrated Bronx Bomber who hit 536 home runs during his illustrious career in pinstripes signed this 1952 Associated Press (AP) black-and-white wire photo and inscribed “Best Wishes” above his signature. Dated Feb. 22 1952 it shows a limber Mantle shagging flies during spring training in St. Petersburg Florida. He signed the print in black ink and note his autograph is a period signature as it reflects the scrawl he used early in his career. The print which includes dateline copy at the bottom measures 6.75” wide by 9.25” high.
