Mickey Mantle was one of baseballs greatest players ever. Playing his entire career for the New York Yankees the Commerce Comet broke into the bigs in 1951 and played 17 seasons in pinstripes. A three-time AL MVP (1956 57 and 62) Mantle helped the Yankees win seven World Series titles during the 50s and 60s and was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame as a first-ballot inductee in 1974. Mantle has signed this official American League (Bobby Brown) baseball in blue ink and has inscribed it Moose. Great Shot? Asshole. Mickey Mantle 10/2/94. This baseball was signed by Mantle a little more than 10 months before his death on August 13 1995. It is a true testament to their lifelong friendship on and off the field.
