Mickey Mantle and Roger Maris will always be iconic figures in New York. The "M&M Boys" are best remembered for their epic home run chase in 1961 when Mantle (54) fell behind late in the season as Maris (61) passed Babe Ruth for the single-season record. This exquisite OAL (MacPhail) dual-signed baseball features the lovely autographs of Mantle and Maris with stunning quality and precision. Maris emblazons the sweet spot, while Mantle appears on a side panel of the slightly off-white ball. Both blue ballpoint signatures have been rated 8/10, as has the baseball itself, with a 1/2 point added for eye appeal to give this beauty an overall grade of NM-MT+ 8.5 from PSA/DNA.
