Perhaps nothing better illustrates Michael Jordan's evolution of the game than his gravity-defying aerial maneuvers. His "Art of the Dunk" became the basis for all players after him to pattern their game. This dynamic Upper Deck display uses a film strip piece taken from footage of the iconic 1988 Slam Dunk Contest in Chicago. “His Airness” successfully defended his title against Dominique Wilkins with a perfect score in the final round, claiming his second consecutive title. The six frames sequentially capture Jordan as he launches himself from the boards, through the air, to sink the basket. This amazing film strip is complemented by a magnificent Michael Jordan signature along the top in contrasting silver ink. The piece has been professionally framed and is UDA certified.
Payment for your invoice must clear in full prior to shipping. All items will be shipped from SCP Auctions’ Laguna Niguel, CA office in the order that payments are received. Please allow up to three business days following clearance of payment for items to ship. All items will be shipped UPS/FedEx Ground unless you contact us to discuss an alternative shipping method. Prior to bidding, please be aware of estimated shipping costs, especially for large or heavy lots.
