Baseball Hall of famer Ty Cobb played his entire MLB career with the Detroit Tigers from 1905 to 1928. A one-time American League MVP (1911 after batting .420) Cobb will forever be remembered for his aggressive base-running style that led to 897 steals. He was the dominant player in the A.L. during the Dead-ball Era and arguably the greatest player in the history of the game. This lot features a signed personal check from Cobb for $20.97 (made out to cash) that he wrote on March 9 1960 just 16 months before he passed away at the age of 74. The check has been paired with a classic sepia tone photo showing Cobb stealing third base. The overall framed presentation measures 16 wide by 18 high.
