Impressive March 8, 1971 on-site boxing poster from one of the most famous fights in boxing history. The fight, which was hosted at Madison Square Garden in New York, would be the first time that Muhammad Ali and Joe Frazier had met in the ring. Frazier would finish victorious after a hard fought 15-round fight which would go to decision and place Frazier as the undisputed World Heavyweight Champion. This would also mark Ali's first loss in his professional boxing career (previously 31-0). The offered poster measures 22"x28" and remains in great condition. Some blemishes exist on the edges of the poster along with minor creasing. Overall, the depictions of each boxer and vibrant coloring remain near perfect. An exceptional piece of history from one of the most important boxing matches to date.
