Offered here is an original photograph taken during Roberto Clemente’s final Spring Training in 1972. The image reflects the seasoned grace and enduring skill of a baseball icon. The Pirates legend, known for his powerful arm, exceptional batting prowess, and humanitarian efforts, is pictured in throwing motion sporting his Piittsburgh road gray uni, embodying the spirit that made him a beloved figure both on and off the diamond. Though he would tragically pass away in a plane crash roughly nine months after this photo was taken, his life and legacy will inspire for generations to come.

The reverse is blank, save for a Sporting News Collection sticker and blue ballpoint notations of Clemente's name written twice and along with the date of the image ("March 1972"). There is some light staining within the white borders, but it still presents very nicely with a smooth surface.
