On March 14, 1964, the San Francisco Warriors would play the Los Angeles Lakers at the L.A. Sports arena in front of 11,076 fans and destroyed the Lakers 111-95 (the Warriors would end up played in the NBA finals that season losing to the Celtics). Wilt led his team with 55 points while Elgin Baylor had 28 points in the losing effort (Jerry West & Rudy LaRusso had 19 and Dick Barnett had 20 for the L.A. team).
