Lynn Swann was a standout wide receiver at USC from 1971 to 73 who went on to a Hall of Fame NFL career with the Pittsburgh Steelers. This lot includes a National Football Foundation and Hall of Fame certificate that was awarded to Swann upon his election on January 10 1993. The award states: Lynn Swann University of Southern California Wide Receiver 1971-73 has been granted the highest recognition of the National Football Hall of Fame in recognition of his outstanding playing ability as demonstrated in intercollegiate competition his sportsmanship integrity character and contribution to the sport of football this certificate bears witness that his name shall be forever honored in the National Football Hall of Fame. The framed certificate measures 19 wide by 25 high and is signed by Swann himself as well as Gene Corrigan Chairman of the Honors Court National Football Hall of Fame and William Pearce former NFF Chairman of the Board.
Includes Letter of Provenance from the Newport Sports Museum.
