History has shown President Lyndon B. Johnson to have possessed a gruff personality, but that side of him softened when it came to his beloved dog, Yuki. LBJ’s daughter found the Terrier mix abandoned at a Texas gas station and gifted the pup to her father on his birthday in 1967. The President immediately took a shine to the small dog, even telling the White House kennel keeper, “You know there is no one in the world I would rather sleep with than Yuki.” Posed in his cowboy attire with his dog on his lap, this wonderful photo quietly exudes the love LBJ had for his beloved Yuki. The Type 1 photo has been printed to its edge. There is some slight chipping along the edges, but none that intrudes into the subject matter. The reverse of the photo has a “29 Dec 67” dated code stamp. The photo has been encapsulated by PSA and graded a Type 1 Authentic.

Prior to bidding, please be aware of estimated shipping costs, especially for large or heavy lots. If you intend to pick up your items in person at the SCP Auctions office, please call us to schedule. Payment must clear prior to items being available for pick-up.
