This lot presents a unique opportunity for that legion of Rose Bowl collectors highlighted by a handsome 1974 Centennial Silver Coin a nice run of 11 press pins and a ticket stub from the 1949 Rose Bowl all nicely preserved and in highly collectible condition. The 2-inch in diameter silver coin has The Rose Bowl and Granddaddy of them all in raised letters on one side surrounding a sculpted football scene; the other has Crown of the Valley and Pasadena Centennial 1874-1974 with a sculpted roses figural at the middle. The coin comes in a 4-by-3-inch sublimely ostentatious purple-felt Jacques Cartier Mint box complete with silver JCM silver logo on the top. The pin grouping is a handsome run from 1986-96 with all 11 in a nice uniform condition basically as-issued and problem-free condition including working back clasps. The 4 ½-by-2 ½-inch ticket stub from 1949 presents Ex-Mt jostled only by some tiny pencil notations at the top of the back that are visible only upon diligent examination.
Comes with a Letter of Authenticity from the Helms/LA 84 Collection.
