The first two games of the 1955 World Series had Brooklyn Dodger fans groaning at the thought of yet another post-season defeat by the hated Yankees. The New Yorkers had won all five times the two teams had met in the Series previously, and their victories in Game 1 and 2 of the ’55 Series looked like it was going to happen yet again. Game 1 pitted aces Don Newcome against Whitey Ford, the latter eking out a 6-5 win aided by Joe Collins’ two home runs. Game 2 featured Yankees starter Tommy Byrne winning his own game with a bases-loaded single in the 4th inning. Much to the delight of the Brooklyn faithful, the Dodgers snapped out of their slump and went on to beat the Yanks in seven games, winning their first and only World Championship. These two ticket stubs gave the holder admittance to both of those Yankees wins. The Game 1 Lower Stand stub is graded PSA VG 3 and shows medium toning with edge wear and pitting. The 1955 Game 2 Lower Stand stub is graded PSA Poor 1 and shows heavy toning and pitting with a diagonal tear on the left side.

The next group of ticket stubs are for Games 3 and 4 of the 1960 World Series. Game 3 featured a 4-hit shutout of the Pirates by Whitey Ford, aided by a pair of homers by Mickey Mantle and Bobby Richardson. Game 4 saw Pittsburgh evening the series behind a masterful pitching performance by Vern Law and Roy Face. The Game 1 Lower Stand stub grades PSA Good 2 and shows toning while the Game 2 Lower Stand stub is graded PSA Fair 1.5 and displays light toning and a ragged tear along the perforation on the left side.

The final two ticket stubs in this group are for Games 1 and 2 of the 1961 World Series. Elston Howard and Moose Skowron both homered as Whitey Ford pitched his third consecutive post-season shutout. Game 2 found the Cincinnati bats roaring to life as the Reds scored 6 runs including a 2-run homer Gordy Coleman while the Yanks could only muster 2 runs, both on an 8th inning Yogi Berra home run. The Game 1 stub grades a PSA VG-Ex 4 with toning and edge wear while the Game 2 stub is graded a PSA VG 3 with toning and some tearing along the perforation area on the left side.
