When it comes to gridiron legends finding five players with more impressive resumes than Jim Brown Gale Sayers Joe Namath Bart Starr and Y.A. Tittle would be hard to accomplish. This lot includes five single-signed footballs signed by this fabulous fivesome. Brown was the bruising star running back of the Cleveland Browns from 1957 to 65 while Sayers was the fleet-footed multi-purpose scorer for the Chicago Bears from 1965 to 72. Both were first-ballot Hall of Famers. The three other Hall of Famers included in this lot were all quarterbacks whose names were synonymous with winning: Packers ace Bart Starr Jets signal-caller Joe Namath and the well-traveled Y.A. Tittle who concluded his illustrious career with the New York Football Giants. Four of the five players have signed their respective Wilson footballs in silver marker and added their uniforms numbers next to each signature: Brown #32 Sayers #40 Namath X12 and Tittle 14. Starrs signature in blue fine-point marker is captured on a Wilson white-panel football. All signatures are solid and rate 8-9/10. Only Browns football shows some discoloration evidently after years of exposure to the sun.

Bruce Tennen's passion for Tigers baseball as a boy eventually lead him to pursue a career in the sports industry covering Arizona teams as an AP journalist in the late 70s and working in the front office for the San Diego Clippers in the early 80s. He would later move on to a successful career in mortgage banking arranging credit and acquisition funding for numerous Pistons players executives and broadcasters. Bruce has been fortunate enough to build relationships with dozens of professional athletes and team executives giving him the connections necessary to build his impressive collection.
