Nice collection of 5 pieces of original newspaper sports cartoon art each with a USC related theme.

- 1940 - Approx. 16" by 21" image of USC coach Howard Jones and Notre Dame coach Elmer Layden sitting together and going through a scrap book of past USC - Notre Dame games with images from 7 of the more important ones above. Artist Karl Hubenthal. Nice condition for age.

- 1950 - Approx. 17" by 23" image of UCLA coach Res Saunders and USC coach Jeff Cravath crying and telling each other their woes while filling the Coliseum up with their tears before the upcoming USC vs. UCLA game. Artist Manning. Very nice condition with newspaper lay out markings.

- 1965 - Approx. 14" by 21" image of great USC running back Mike Garrett on becoming the greatest rusher in USC history. Artist Earl Willis. Good condition with hole at top and several newspaper corrections.Small part of lower right corner neatly removed.

- 11/18/66 - Approx. 14" by 21 1/2" images of USC and UCLA players colliding and Notre Dame and Michigan State players doing the same while a doctor checks out a fan to see if he can take watching the two big upcoming games. Artist Earl Willis. Great condition with small stain at lower right corner.

- 11/25/66 - Approx. 14" by 20" USC player and Notre Dame player looking at each other in the mirror and talking about the upcoming game. Artist Earl Willis. Great condition.

Includes a Letter of Provenance from the Helms Athletic Foundation/LA84 Collection.
