When baseball still reigned in the USA, President Richard Nixon was an avid fan of the game and its stars. Baseball was so on President Nixon’s mind that one of the first questions he asked the astronauts upon their return from the moon landing in the summer of 1969 was if they had heard the results of the MLB All Star Game!!

This mind-blowing collection of forty-two Hall of Fame single-signed balls originates from Nixon’s personal collection.

That special provenance shines through as each baseball legend has personally inscribed the ball "To President Richard Nixon" or a variation of that salutation. Many have also added personal messages, and due to that most players have chosen to inscribe the side panel.

The Hall of Fame signers represented here are Aparicio, Appling, Banks, Barlick, Bench, Boudreau, Brock, Carew, Chandler (difficult to read), Conlan, Dandridge, Doerr, Drysdale, Feller, Ferrell, Gomez, Herman, Catfish Hunter, Irvin, Jenkins, Kaline, Kell, Killebrew, Lemon, Leonard, Al Lopez, Marichal, Mathews, McCovey, Morgan, Musial, Palmer, Perry, Robin Roberts, B. Robinson, F. Robinson, Schoendienst, Sewell, Slaughter, Snider, Spahn, and Stargell. The signatures are all in blue ink and grade 8-9/10 (other than Chandler). All are either official American or National League balls and date from the 1980s or early 1990s (Nixon died in 1994). Most of the balls display varying degrees of light age toning. Otherwise all remain in Near Mint condition.

This is both a unique and highly significant Hall of Fame single-signed baseball collection that was personally assembled and enjoyed by Richard Nixon, 37th President of the United States and lifelong baseball fan.
