Offered are three ticket stubs including two from a 1924 fight at Michigan City Indiana between legendary French boxer Georges Carpentier who along with his pugilistic stills was an actor and World War I pilot and Tommy Gibbons. He fought mainly as a light heavyweight and heavyweight in a career lasting from 1908 to 1926. The pair of tickets from that fight have been mounted to a heavy cardboard; the 4-by-2 ½-inch International Boxing Contest tickets present in largely Excellent condition but one has a tiny bit of paper loss on the left side and the other some staining neither of which detracts from the overall presentation. The third ticket 3 ¾-by-21/2 inches features Welterweight Champion Mickey Walker and Bert Colima. Walker held both the World Welterweight and Middleweight Championships at different points in his career and is widely considered one of the greatest fighters ever with ESPN ranking him 17th on their list of the 50 Greatest Boxers of All-Time. The ticket presents in Good condition and has been removed from a backing board.
