The late Bill Moose Skowron was a popular first baseman for the New York Yankees from 1954 to 1962. He launched 211 home runs during his career and along the way became friends with some of baseballs greatest Hall of Famers ever. His post-playing days were filled by serving as a goodwill ambassador for the Chicago White Sox a team he played with from 1964 to 67. This lot includes 12 single-signed baseballs that Skowron collected from Hall of Famers during his travels. Each of the Rawlings baseballs has been signed in blue ink on their individual sweet spots with some of the players including special inscriptions: Jerry Coleman (HOF 05); Stan Musial (HOF 69); Carlton Fisk (HOF 2000); Wade Boggs (HOF 2005); Yogi Berra (H.O.F. 72); Al Kaline (HOF 80); Monte Irvin (HOF 73); Brooks Robinson (HOF 83); Johnny Bench (HOF 89); Luis Aparicio; Ryne Sandberg; and Hank Aaron. All signatures rate 8-9/10. Aarons is the only Wilson branded baseball in the lot.
Includes Letter of Authenticity from the Skowron Family. Also includes 8 Certificates of Authenticity signed by Bill "Moose" Skowron who appeared at dozens of autograph shows in the 1980's. All but Coleman Fisk Boggs & Aparicio come with individual COAs.Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
