Presented is a 1909-11 T206 Piedmont Ty Cobb (Bat On Shoulder) graded PSA PR 1 (PSA cert. #175227135). As one of four Cobb poses in the legendary T206 set, the "Bat On Shoulder" variation features the Georgia Peach in a classic batting stance and remains one of the most desirable cards in the hobby's most iconic tobacco issue.

The card features Cobb in his gray Detroit road uniform and cap, holding his bat at his shoulder against a vibrant background that fades from yellow to orange above a green field. The caption "COBB, DETROIT" appears in the bottom border. The reverse carries the Piedmont 150 Series advertising back, "The Cigarette of Quality," with the Factory No. 25 designation, one of the most common and recognizable T206 backs.

While the card grades PR 1 due to condition issues, it displays far better than the grade suggests. The image is clean, the colors remain vivid, and the front shows good registration and solid visual appeal. For collectors seeking the visual impact of a T206 Cobb at an accessible grade, this example is exceptional.

Cobb's career numbers remain staggering more than a century later: a .366 career batting average, the highest in baseball history, along with 12 batting titles, 4,189 hits and 897 stolen bases. When the Hall of Fame held its first election in 1936, Cobb received more votes than any other player, including Babe Ruth. This is a strong-presenting T206 Cobb that would anchor any pre-war collection.
