Offered is a 1963 Topps #537 Pete Rose rookie card graded PSA VG-EX 4 (PSA cert. #174090212), distinguished by centering that approaches perfection. Rose's rookie card is one of the most iconic cards of the 1960s, and its well-known condition challenges make well-centered examples especially notable at any grade.

The card is a four-player "1963 Rookie Stars" design featuring Rose alongside Pedro Gonzalez, Ken McMullen and Al Weis, each pictured in a circular headshot. Issued in the scarce high-number series, #537 was printed in lower quantities than the earlier series and was distributed late in the season, which has made it one of the toughest key rookie cards of the decade. Its multi-colored design and the tight placement of the circles also make centering a persistent obstacle.

This example overcomes that challenge, presenting with near-perfect left-to-right and top-to-bottom centering that gives the card exceptional visual balance. The colors remain bright, the four portraits are well registered, and the wear present is consistent with the VG-EX 4 grade, chiefly corner softening and light surface wear. Collectors who prioritize eye appeal will find this card presents well above its numerical grade.

Rose went on to win the 1963 National League Rookie of the Year award and later became baseball's all-time hits leader with 4,256, along with three batting titles, the 1973 NL MVP and three World Series championships. This is a visually superior example of a cornerstone 1960s rookie card.
