Bernabé Ferreyra was one of the first true superstars of Argentine professional football and a foundational figure in River Plate history. Known as "La Fiera" (The Beast) for his ferocious shooting power, Ferreyra arrived at River Plate from Tigre in 1932 in what was then a world-record transfer fee, a signing that helped earn the club its enduring nickname, "Los Millonarios." He immediately rewarded the investment by leading River to the 1932 league title while scoring at a prolific rate.

This 1934 Figuritas Campeonato card #27 presents a striking color portrait of Ferreyra wearing River Plate's iconic white jersey with its red diagonal sash, set against a teal background. The ornate gold-toned frame features the "Campeonato" banner at top and identifies him as "B. Ferreira" of River Plate, reflecting the period spelling. The card displays rounded corners characteristic of the issue. PSA has graded the example VG-EX 4 (Cert. #164157759), with strong color and solid eye appeal for an Argentine card more than 90 years old.

This is the highest-graded example of the card in the PSA Population Report and the only one at this grade. As with most Argentine figuritas of the era, the cards were distributed for album collecting, and examples surviving in this condition are extraordinarily rare.

Ferreyra's legendary goalscoring exploits made him an idol across Argentina during the sport's early professional era. A condition-rarity treasure from the golden age of River Plate.
