Domingos da Guia, celebrated as "O Divino Mestre" (The Divine Master), is regarded as one of the greatest defenders in football history and the first great Brazilian center back. Renowned for his elegance, composure, and ball-playing ability, he starred for Brazil at the 1938 FIFA World Cup and enjoyed a celebrated career with Vasco da Gama, Flamengo, Corinthians, and Uruguay's Nacional. This 1936 DIX Colección Mágica card captures him during his stint with Argentina's Boca Juniors, where he won the 1935 league championship.

Produced by Productos DIX in Argentina, the Colección Mágica set was issued as a water-transfer decal, intended to be moistened and applied to a collector's album, which is why the portrait and "DOMINGOS" caption appear in reverse. Card #13 features a portrait of da Guia in the blue and yellow of Boca Juniors, framed within the red "Productos DIX" border. The reverse displays printed instructions in Spanish, "1° Mójese bien, 2° Apliquese-Deslícese," and the offer to obtain an album by redeeming 30 bottle caps. PSA has graded the card VG-EX 4 (Cert. #164157757), with bright color and a clean image for this fragile issue.

Because the vast majority of these decals were transferred into albums as intended, surviving unused examples are exceedingly scarce. A rare and historically significant early issue of a true Brazilian football pioneer, from one of the most unusual formats of the pre-war era.
