The 2002 Topps Autographs #TA-19 Alex Rodriguez features a clean, classic design that showcases the superstar during his Texas Rangers tenure. Each Topps Autographs card was signed in the presence of a Topps representative, a guarantee printed on the reverse of the card along with the "Topps Certified Autograph Issue" seal on the front.

 

The front shows Rodriguez in his blue Rangers jersey, throwing across the diamond, set against a large Texas Rangers baseball logo. His signature is boldly signed in blue ink across the lower portion of the card, standing out cleanly against the white background. The reverse reads "Congratulations, you just received an authentic autograph card of Alex Rodriguez from 2002 Topps Baseball," and bears a Topps hologram.

 

Rodriguez was in the midst of one of the greatest stretches by any shortstop in history. In 2002 he led the majors with 57 home runs and 142 RBI, and he won the AL MVP award in 2003. Over his career he collected 696 home runs, 3,115 hits and 2,086 RBI.

 

This example has received a MINT 9 grade from Beckett, with subgrades of 9.5 for centering, 8.5 for corners, 9.5 for edges and 9 for surface. The autograph has been graded a perfect 10. A high-grade on-card autograph of Alex Rodriguez from the peak of his Texas years. BGS MINT 9, Beckett 10 Auto.
