The 1960 Topps #316 Willie McCovey is the rookie card of "Stretch," the towering San Francisco Giants slugger whose debut season was one of the most remarkable introductions in baseball history. Called up at the end of July in 1959, McCovey went 4-for-4 against Hall of Famer Robin Roberts in his major league debut, hit .354 in 52 games and was unanimously named the National League Rookie of the Year.
