Offered is one of the earliest and most historically significant cards of a true American icon: a 1948 R346 Blue Tint #36 Jackie Robinson, hand cut and certified Authentic by PSA. The card carries the coveted Steve Soloway Collection pedigree on the PSA label, a provenance highly regarded among advanced vintage collectors.

The R346 Blue Tint set was distributed in 1948-49 as strip cards, sold in uncut panels that were scissored apart by hand. Each card was printed in distinctive monochrome blue ink on thin, blank-backed stock. Because of that informal format, survivors are typically irregularly cut and often well-loved, and examples with notable provenance rarely come to market.

The obverse presents a half-length image of Robinson in his Brooklyn Dodgers cap and uniform. The caption "Jackie Robinson • Brooklyn" and the card number "36" appear below. The blue tint gives the card its unmistakable vintage character, and the image remains clear and well defined. As issued, the reverse is blank.

The card was produced during Robinson's second season in Brooklyn, just a year after he broke Major League Baseball's color barrier in 1947 and won the inaugural Rookie of the Year Award. The next year he captured the 1949 NL MVP. His impact on the game and on American society is immeasurable, and his No. 42 is now retired across all of baseball.

The card shows the wear expected of a hand-cut strip issue, with rough cut edges and corner wear. Encapsulated by PSA (Cert. #16993823).
