Eagles standout running back McCoy wore this official Riddell throwback helmet on September 12 2010 opening day in Philadelphia as he rushed 7 times for 35 yards and a touchdown and added 5 catches for another 47 yards. The game marked the return to the playing field of Michael Vick and yet despite his strong second-half showing and McCoy's solid afternoon the Eagles lost the season opener to Green Bay 27-20 at home. The Eagles wore 1960 Kelly Green throwback jerseys helmets and pants on opening day 2010 to honor the 50th anniversary of the 1960 Championship team that defeated the Packers 17-13 on December 26 1960.
The helmet shows good game use most noticeably on the silver Eagle wings on the sides and on the top and back along with marks on the lower portion of the silver face mask. Inside the helmet is Riddell stickers showing the year made ("JUL-2010") and size ("M") along with McCoy's #25 hand printed in black marker inside the right ear flap. Aside from the visible game wear all elements of the helmet seem to be in superb largely as-issued and problem-free condition.
Comes with a Letter of Authenticity from the Philadelphia Eagles and the MeiGray Group.
