Pair of items from the personal collection of 1930's NFL defensive lineman Lou Gordon. After a stellar career at the University of Illinois Lou Gordon went on to play 9 years in the NFL 6 of those with the Chicago Cardinals from 1930 through 1935 1936-37 with the Green Bay Packers and 1938 with the Chicago Bears.
1) 8 by 10 black & white photo signed to Gordon by legendary Illinois football coach Bob Zuppke. Zuppke has signed "To Lou Gordon To a sterling tackle and great friend Robert C. Zuppke" in 8/10 blue ink. Back has lines from being removed from an adhesive album.
2) 9 1/2 by 13 1/2 period crystal clear photo of a 1920's Illinois football team. Corners sharp but photo has 3 heavy horizontal creases.
Autographed photo Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
