Recently inducted Basketball Hall of Famer Shaquille O’Neal led the L.A. Lakers to three straight NBA titles (2000 to ’02) during his eight-year tenure with the team. Boasting career numbers including 34.7 minutes 23.7 points and 10.9 rebounds per outing O’Neal retired with 28596 points and 13099 boards to his credit. His well-deserved enshrinement ceremony into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in Springfield Massachusetts occurred last September.This lot features O’Neal’s autographed and practice worn L.A. Lakers jersey from the late 1990’s just as he and the Lakers were warming up to take three consecutive NBA titles.
The reversible 100% nylon/polyester mesh jersey is gold and purple and includes proper Champion manufacturer’s tagging on the front left tail of either color. The size 52 jersey also includes a separate washing instructions tag alongside the Champion tag. Either variation of the jersey depending upon which color is being worn sport heat pressed lettering (“Lakers” and “O’NEAL”) as well as O’Neal’s uniform number “34.” The NBA’s official red white and blue embroidered logo patch as well as a red white and blue embroidered “Champion” logo adorn the left shoulder area(s). O’Neal has autographed the back of the jersey’s gold variation in silver marker across the purple heat-pressed “4” of his uniform number 34. The practice-worn jersey exhibits very light wear.
