This is an intriguing full uniform from 2-time NBA All-Star Kiki Vandeweghe who wore this in the late 1980s in Magic Johnson's Celebrity All-Star Game "A Midsummer Night's Magic" - an annual charity game Magic started in 1985 to benefit the United Negro College Fund. Vandeweghe starred at UCLA under coach Larry Brown before moving on to a successful playing and now front office career in the NBA. He was excellent scorer and outside shooter for teh Denver Nuggets and Portland Trailblazers averaging more than 20 points for 7 consecutive seasons ultimately ending with 15980 points and a 19.7 ppg average over 14 seasons.

The white light-mesh jersey has the MacGregor Sandknit Size 46 labeling at the lower front-left tail and the MacGregor embroidered logo near the left shoulder yoke. Vandeweghes No. 55 is screened in blue vinyl front and back the same fashion used for Magic Johnson All-Star Game and his name on the back. Shirt has red white and blue knitted elastic collar and yokes and alternating red and blue screened stars down each side panel. Vandeweghe has added a black Sharpie autograph to the front right side of the jersey alongside his No. 55. The accompanying shorts have the Sandknit Size 38 tagging at the back of the waistband with attached flag tags indicating 1 and 01 plus a third with Long. White mesh shorts have the same red white and blue elastic striping at the bottom of the shorts plus event beneficiary UNCF on the front left and alternating red and blue stars on each side. The string from inside the waistband is missing. This jersey and shorts are properly tagged and show appropriate single-event use and appear to be essentially as-issued and without alteration.

Comes with a Letter of Authenticity from the United Negro College Fund as well as a Letter of Provenance from the Newport Sports Museum Collection.

Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
