Attractive Ty Cobb autographed baseball offered here on an official Pacific Coast League (Leslie O'Connor) baseball dating to the late 1950's. Cobb's signature appears on the south panel in his trademark green ink rating 7/10 in strength and eye appeal. The north panel is signed by George Freese, younger brother of MLB journeyman Gene Freese. George had one career at-bat with Cobb's beloved Detroit Tigers in 1953 before spending five seasons in the PCL plus two more MLB stops with the Pirates and Cubs. Using the PCL baseball dating guide (https://minorleaguebaseballs.com/my-collection/affiliated-leagues-regular-season/pacific-coast-league), we can accurately date this ball from its faint-but-legible manufacturer stamps on the label and side panel. The ball has toned to an even light brown color from soiling and age. Displays like an exceptional Cobb single with Freese's autograph completely out of sight on the opposite panel. LOAs from PSA/DNA and Beckett Authentication Services.
