Larry Bird personified hustle consistency and execution in all areas of play throughout his 13-year career with the Boston Celtics - as a scorer a distributor a rebounder a defender and most importantly for the Boston faithful a clutch performer who wanted the ball with the game on the line. Few played harder than Bird who would leap into the stands and over press tables for loose balls. NBA Top 50 player. 1998 Hall of Fame inductee. Larry Legend.
On the left front tail of this 1989-90 green road Larry Bird game-worn beauty is the Sand-Knit manufacturers tag with "Designed & Tailored Exclusively for Boston Celtics and size 46 tag. Adjacent is a strip tag with 89 for the year worn. Across the front is CELTICS. Player number 33 appears on both the front and back. Player name BIRD appears across the back. All numbers and letters are done in white tackle twill. At the left chest is the official NBA embroidered logo. Bird has autographed the front '3' in green marker. Slight fraying on stitched letters and numbers. The jersey is properly tagged was presented as game-used and in our opinion shows appropriate wear. The jersey was donated by the Boston Celtics to a team charity auction in December 1989.
