Nice collection of items coming originally from the estate of long time major league player and manager Charlie Grimm. Grimm played 20 years in the majors primarily with the Pittsburgh Pirates(1919-24) and Chicago Cubs(1925-36). He also managed in the majors for 16 years with the Chicago Cubs(1932-49 1960) and Boston/Milwaukee Braves(1953-56).
Rawlings size 48 Milwaukee Braves colors satin jacket. Exhibits moderate use and displays beautifully. Looks as though "SPORTS" was originally sewn across the from chest and removed.
Set of 3 brown ceramic ash trays. 9" by 9" vintage first baseman's glove with Charlie Grimm facsimile autograph imprinted on top. 4 1/2" by 5" catcher's mitt with Del Crandall facsimile autograph imprinted on top. 4" by 5" first baseman's glove with Joe Adcock facsimile autograph imprinted on top. Beautiful condition group.
11" by 14" black & white photo of the 1932 National League Champion Chicago Cubs with names of all players identified below in nice handwriting. Photo in great shape. In vintage 12" by 15" frame.
Circa early 1920's vintage 9 1/2" by 7 1/2" sepia tone photo of Charlie Grimm as a Pittsburgh Pirate. Great shape in vintage paper fold over frame.
