The 2009-10 defending champion Los Angeles Lakers were on a mission to keep the winning train rolling and finished the season with a strong 57 - 25 record. The Lakers led by Kobe Bryant and Pau Gasol cruised through the Western Conference playoffs 4-2 vs OKC 4-0 vs Utah and 4-2 vs Phoenix and were set up for a head on collision with the Boston Celtics.
The Boston Celtics were healthy and fully capable of defeating the Lakers just as they did during the 2008 NBA Finals. Los Angeles needed all of the meditative force their Zen Master Phil Jackson could muster in order to gain the confidence to fight and win against their formidable opponents from Boston. With a stellar series from Kobe Bryant (28.6 pts 8 rebounds 3.9 Assists) and a bit of luck in the way of a miracle 3-pointer during game seven by Ron Artest the Lakers would prevail and Kobe would be awarded the Finals MVP award for the second time in his career.
This offering is a signed and inscribed Los Angeles Lakers championship banner commemorating the 2009-2010 NBA Finals. This 59" x 36" banner has Kobe's autograph in black marker with an inscription "Finals MVP" just to the top left of the Los Angeles Lakers logo. Comes with Panini COA and packaging. Kobe's autograph is Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
