Kobe Bryant's nickname Black Mamba is more than just a marketing exploit it's his self created alter-ego he used in order to get through some of the darkest parts of his career. He faced some off the court legal issues during the 2003-04 season and needed a way to organize his thoughts in order to stay focused while on the court. Kobe explained in his documentary "Muse" that "Kobe" was in charge of his personal life and "The Black Mamba" would handle all of his business on the court. Ultimately Kobe went on to have one of the greatest playing careers of all time and was able to clean up his image off the court during the remaining 12 years of his long career.
This offering is a signed and inscribed "Black Mamba" Los Angeles Lakers Adidas Swingman home jersey. Kobe Bryant's signature is on the number 2 in black marker while the inscribed "Black Mamba" runs up diagonally on the number 4 in black marker. Comes with COA from Panini and autograph has been pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
