Interesting group of items associated with a school for football coaches run by legendary Notre Dame head football coach Knute Rockne in the 1920's. Items come directly from the grandson of Joseph Tate McGill a coach who attended the event.
1) Certificate of graduation from the Henderson-Brown College School for Football Coaches conducted by Knute Rockne of Notre Dame given to Joseph T. McGill. Certificate has been signed by Rockne in very strong 8-9/10 looking vintage black ink at the lower right corner.
2) Matted 9 5/8" by 7 1/4" black & white photo of all the coaches including Knute Rockne. Crystal clear image of Rockne in the upper right corner. Joseph tate McGill is sitting right below him. Photo in near perfect shape however it has been glued to the black matting. Matting does have some creases tears and hole at top. Matting can be cut off around perfect looking photo so it can be re-framed and matted beautifully.
3) Pair of 4" by 6 " vintage photographs of Rockne instructing the coaches. First one show him demonstrating a forward pass the second has him pointing out something to a group of coaches standing behind him.
4) Numerous copies of articles and photos relating to the playing and coaching career of Joseph tate McGill.
