A handsome dual-signed letter on his official Western District of Illinois stationery is a polite note declining an invitation to a hunting camp in northern Wisconsin because of an ongoing lawsuit. Judge Landis' 8/10 signature on the 7-by-9-inch letterhead is atop a P.S. that is signed "Landis" and notes that if something were to change he would attempt to catch part of the annual deer-hunting season. The note itself displays in fine fashion betraying only punch holes at the top and some residue from a paper clip from the filing process. The letter is attractively matted and framed in red and blue alongside a 4-by-5-inch photo of Landis with Connie Mack with wooden frame and plexiglass that brings the final dimensions to 16-by-13 inches.
