Fantastic racing suit featured here worn by Ken Schrader in the 1996 NASCAR Winston Cup Series. Schrader was the 1984 NASCAR Rookie of the Year and won four races in his 29 years (1984-2013) in NASCAR. He is a first cousin of current NASCAR driver Carl Edwards. From 1998-96 he raced for Hendrick Motorsports in the No. 25 Chevrolet winning the pole at Daytona 500 in his first race with the team. In fact he won the Daytona 500 pole three straight years (1988-90). His sponsors on Hendricks went from Folgers to Kodak to Budweiser when he wore this offered suit. We have photo-matched the suit (Getty 141972497) but are not sure which race/s he wore it in 1996.

The red zipper-down fireproof suit has Simpson manufacturer’s tagging behind the collar and the NASCAR Winston Cup and Hendrick Motorsports patches on the left chest. Like every NASCAR suit it is covered in sponsorship patches and embroideries primarily Budweiser but also Gatorade GMAC Chevrolet Pedigree Quaker State and Slick 50. Schrader’s initials “KS” are stitched in the Velcro belt strap on the back. This suit looks and smells of excellent race wear and is signed by Schrader on the front right chest in 7/10 black Sharpie with his No. “25” inscribed. Comes from the personal collection of NFL Hall of Famer Rod Woodson who received it as a gift several years ago.
