Presented is a match-worn Soviet Union (CCCP) National Team home jersey from the June 14, 1982 FIFA World Cup — a 2-1 loss to Brazil — worn by defender Anatoliy Demyanenko and accompanied by a MEARS Letter of Authenticity and sourced directly from the Oscar Collection.
The short-sleeve jersey is constructed in adidas red polyester with subtle white pinstripe detailing throughout — a distinctive design specific to the CCCP World Cup kit of Spain 1982. The jersey features a white V-neck collar and white ribbed cuff trim, along with the adidas Originals Trefoil logo on the left chest. The left chest also bears the embroidered Soviet state emblem — the hammer and sickle in gold on a red square patch — and "CCCP" is prominently displayed in bold white lettering across the chest in the iconic style. The reverse carries the applied white "#6" numeral in a bold triple-outline style consistent with adidas's World Cup player jerseys of this era.
The jersey shows genuine match wear including fabric softening, minor soiling, and general wear consistent with World Cup play in Spain. The Brazil-USSR match at Spain 1982 was one of the tournament's most thrilling encounters, with Sócrates and Zico at their peak. MEARS LOA confirms match-worn authenticity. From the Oscar Collection.
The Oscar Bernardi Collection
This shirt comes from the personal collection of José Oscar Bernardi, better known as Oscar, who played for the Brazil National Team from 1977 to 1986. Included is a letter of provenance signed by Oscar. Most jerseys in the collection were obtained directly through player swaps after competition. Others were acquired via gifts or trade with footballers in Oscar’s wide network of teammates and friends. At age 71, he still resides in Brazil and is ready for his collection to be appreciated by others in the hobby.
